In the lead-up to Mary MacKillop’s canonisation as Australia’s first Saint in Rome on 17 October, the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) has been working with the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, the Wattle Range Council, Limestone Coast Tourism and the Penola community to ensure they are prepared for the expected influx of national and international visitors. The SATC has been working with tour operators to create holiday packages which incorporate the sites significant to Mary MacKillop’s life and work.
